In accordance with the recent emergency orders involving face masks from local governing bodies, EVO Swim School will now be requiring adults and teenagers to wear masks upon entering our buildings or pool decks effective tomorrow, Saturday, June 20th.
Children taking swim lessons will not be asked to wear a mask at any time. Children involved in our swim team programming should continue with protocols that have been in place since our reopening.
I personally would rather not have to wear a mask. However, the current trajectory of hospitalizations in Arizona puts us on a dangerous trend for hospitals to exceed their capacity. If this were to happen, another shutdown of our community could become a reality.
If wearing a mask can slow the spread of this virus, let’s work together and choose masks over another economic shutdown. Another shutdown would be devastating to our already weak economy.
We would greatly appreciate your support during this difficult time. This is not our first choice, and we understand that opinions vary greatly on this issue, but we are simply doing what we can to avoid another shutdown.
Should you forget your mask or not have a mask to wear, we will be offering masks for $1 at the front desk.
