EVO Swim School is pleased to announce that Gavin Thruston, age 6, has graduated from the Sea Lion class level. He can now display the ability to swim a basic freestyle stroke (otherwise known as “big arms”) while taking a breath on his back. He is prepared for the Porpoise class where he will learn the freestyle side breathing technique and backstroke. EVO Swim School is pleased to announce that Chloe Fox-Brown, age 12, has graduated from the Dolphin class level. Chloe can now display the basics of all four competitive swimming strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly). Chloe has completed the EVO Swim School curriculum for group lessons and is ready for our Advanced Stroke class. Advanced Stroke classes swim the length of our pool and receive an introduction to the swim team environment. Here she will learn how to turn on the wall, read a pace clock, and perform new drills with fins on her feet. EVO Swim School is pleased to announce that Reyna Hester, age 4, has graduated from the Seal class level. She is now considered a proficient back yard swimmer with the ability to swim three widths of our pool (30 yards total) with a strong kick and great breath control. Reyna can also jump from the side, get a breath on her back, and return to the side of the pool as a safety habit. She will be moving to the Sea Lion class to receive an introduction to the freestyle stroke with an emphasis placed on “big arms”. EVO Swim School is pleased to announce that Evan Dean, age 1, has graduated from the Pufferfish (parent/tot) class level. Evan was given an introduction to the water which included back floats, kicking, and under water passes (not to mention great bonding time with mom and dad). Evan is ready to advance to the Otter class which is a group lesson of only four children. In this class he will learn how to swim independently in the water.
